Overview: The Hope for North Texas Administrative Coordinator is a full-time position that will work to help coordinate and organize the efforts and outreaches of HFNT.  Working closely with the Director & Volunteer Coordinators, the Administrative Coordinator will provide a point of contact for all individuals interacting with HFNT.  They will help to coordinate and communicate with outreach teams and volunteers as well as help with day-to-day administrative functions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

-Assist in outreach coordination. Help with follow-up, communication with teams, maintaining team budgets, tracking hours and keeping logs up to date.

-Serve as a constant presence in the office, as well as the initial point of contact for all new volunteers, including basic clerical duties.

-Maintain and update the website with current events, opportunities, and the most up-to-date information.

-Oversight of the monthly newsletter and other creative writing pieces, including oversight of the blog, twitter account and facebook fan page.

-Ensuring volunteer profiles are up to date and maintained.

-Assisting in running of reports and keeping the team up to date on progress.

Requirements:

Undergraduate Degree in related field or 2 years administrative experience.

Experience with project and event management and strong administrative skills is preferred.

Hope for North Texas

Hope for North Texas is a new local outreach of S.O.S.’ whose mission is to provide volunteers & financial resources to organizations serving the poor, marginalized and broken of North Texas.  Through providing a network, system of implementation and organized volunteerism we seek to enhance the relationship between churches and their communities; mobilizing church members into meaningful volunteer experiences in the context of authentic community.  We are excited to launch this program at the start of the new year and are looking for some people to join our staff and help develop this program.

Position: Volunteer Coordinator

-General Description-
The coordinator serves as a liaison between HFNT and the team leader (volunteer leader) for each team of volunteers.  They provide support, encouragement, communication and accountability to team leaders, while working to enhance outreaches and the volunteer experience.  As Hope for North Texas is a new program, we are looking for someone with flexibility that is willing to grow and develop with the position.

-Qualifications-
1. Bachelor’s degree in business or a social service-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Experience in a leadership role.
3. Able to commit to two years of service.
4. Strong interpersonal skills.
5. Committed to the heart and vision of HFNT, and a strong desire to see the local community reached.

-Responsibilities-
1. Facilitates training and recruitment of team leaders and volunteers.
2. Follows up monthly with team leaders.
3. Facilitates communication between HFNT staff, team leaders & ministry affiliates.
4. Assists in tracking and reporting volunteer hours.
5. Oversee Team Leaders, helping to strategize and problem solve.
6. Works with team leader and affiliates to design and determine effective outreaches based on affiliate needs and volunteer availability.

Position: Christmas Graphic Design Intern

Seeking a Graphic Design Intern to help over the Christmas season in branding and marketing development for Hope for North Texas.  Preferable knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and CS4.  The parameters of this internship are negotiable.  For more information please call Christie Weehunt at 817-898-0262.

Sower of Seeds International Ministries is a growing faith-based (Christian) charity based in Roanoke, TX. The majority of our projects focus on international development (particularly India).

Position: Graphic Designer

-General Description-
Seeking to hire a qualified graphic designer to create effective design concepts for a wide variety of projects, while incorporating a passion for S.O.S.’s particular mission and vision.

-Responsibilities-
• Work with our staff to develop a clear vision for the design and implementation needs of design projects.
• Plan and execute design strategies that meet the needs of a given project balancing budget and time concerns.
• Create dynamic and relevant design concepts that communicate clearly and effectively
• Work with other staff to implement selected designs into highly effective end-results
• Innovate and contribute to organization impact and overall growth on a organizational and international level.

-Qualifications and Requirements-
• Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, (Mac based)
• Adobe InDesign/Dreamweaver skills would enhance your application
• Mastery of graphic design principles, especially as applied to creating marketing brands, and creative, enthusiastic communication of project goals
• Strong knowledge of best practices in organizing information
• Familiarity with technical processes involved in implementing design concepts for video
• A strong portfolio of past design projects and related references

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) that yield highly effective interaction with other S.O.S. team and that contributes positively to our organization culture.
• Proficient experience with desktop computing and Internet-based applications, including word processing, spreadsheet manipulation, desktop publishing, calendaring, electronic mail etiquette, and online research.
• Strong references from previous employers, educational institutions and other relevant organizations and individuals.
• General understanding of and appreciation for the technologies and culture of design in the fundraising and philanthropy fields.
