Inspiring Valour: A Night with Lisa Bevere
Posted on July 2nd, 2009.
We had an amazing time of worship and fellowship with 800+ young women from all over the city. This is the 3rd year for the Inspiring Valour conference. We were so excited to host Lisa Bevere and Jeanne Rogers from LIFE Outreach International.
Jeanne returned to India for her third trip. She is well loved by many of the young ladies here and they were excited to see her again. The mother’s heart comes through Jeanne with every word of encouragement and song that she sings. Her expression of the love of Christ is so authentic and welcomed.
This was Lisa’s first trip to India. Three years ago, she sent a video message and gave all the girls copies of her book “Fight Like a Girl.” To say that we were ready for her to come in person was an understatement!
As she talked about women being a solution and multipliers you could sense the excitement and hunger in the room. She talked about this being the season for the women of India to take their place in the kingdom, and that God had destiny and purpose for them. The women were so ripe to hear what she was sharing, and many young girls were encouraged. At the end of the evening she prayed a blessing of boldness on every girl there. She had them all line up and laid hands on each of them.
We were so blessed by the evening, and look forward to their return.
A testimony we received today:
“In the meeting, I realized that God intends to use His daughters just as mightily for His kingdom as He uses His sons. God definitely blessed me with a spirit of boldness when Lisa prayed over us. Also I had a friend who is a new believer V, with me. She had been wondering why the Lord has not blessed her with a loving family… and this was making her doubt Gods love for her. But when she heard Lisa mention about how God totally adopted her when her earthly father forsook her, it was so encouraging to her.” -Priscila
