How you can be involved in responding to the emergency situation in Haiti.

Posted on January 18th, 2010.

S.O.S. will be involved in Haitian Earthquake relief through various partners that are positioned to reach the Haitian people with much needed supplies and other support in their immediate response.

As many of you might know, it is our belief that the church should be the answer to cries for help in the midst of crisis. We have received various calls and are responding through partnership with local churches.  Most of our efforts will focus on supporting the strategy of Cross Timbers Church in Argyle. They are leading the efforts of a group of local churches that are responding strategically and in partnership. We fully back their response and are working to enhance what they are already doing.

You can help in the following ways:

Pray for the people of Haiti. Find out if your church is having a prayer service for Haiti and pray for Haiti.

There will be a prayer meeting at the 3 campuses of Cross Timbers Church tonight, January 18 at 7:00 p.m  in Keller, Argyle or Denton, TX for a time of prayer for the people of Haiti. Invite your friends and neighbors.  If you’re on twitter, please use the hashtag #pray4Haiti to help spread the word.
